Dr. Andrea Chiba

Andrea A. Chiba is a Professor in the Department of Cognitive Science and in the Program of Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego. She is a co-founder of the Global Science of Learning for Education Network. Prof. Chiba was also the founding Science Director of the Temporal Dynamics of Learning Center, focusing on the role of time and timing in learning. Chiba was awarded a US Brain Initiative Award in 2014 and an NSF Directors’ Award in 2019. She has also been a faculty member for Moving Boundaries, in which Neuroscience and Architecture are considered together for human flourishing.
